Mary, A.J., and Wendy!

MaJa (pronounced made-ya' ... like we make ya' sign!) Signs & Designs was created in April of 1996.

The name was a way of combining the owners' names, Ma for Mary (Nolan at the time) and Ja for A.J. Jarvis.  Mary often tells people she like A.J.'s last name so much that she married him to steel it!

Back in the beginning, Mary was the company ... with A.J. there for moral support.  One day, Mary asked A.J. to help out ... then again the next day ... and the day after ...  As business grew is was too much for just Mary to handle and A.J. was "forced" to quit his day job and join the shop full time.

With Mary designing and A.J. installing we continued to grow.  We moved after our first year to a much need bigger location.  We moved again, just before our 10th anniversary, once again, to a larger location.  We have been at our current location since January of 2006 and we LOVE it here!  The office is spacious with room for all our equipment and us, too!!  A.J. has a wonderful garage work area and there is lots of room outside for even the big stuff (motor homes, boats, pumper trucks!).

Wendy Malik (Mary's sister) joined the team in October of 2006.  She has been a lifesaver!!  She helps out in just about every aspect of the business.  We believe everyone needs a Wendy, you just can't have ours!!

We are blessed to have many wonderful customers!  Every year we grow, staying up to date with the technology of the industry and trying to meet all of those customers' needs.
